MMG is making big headway in its recently acquired projects and the general report from various sites are
extremely encouraging instilling confidence among the clients that the projects would be very much on
schedule with total focus on safety and quality.
The group successfully lifted and positioned generators at the Manifa Cogeneration and Main Substation
project recently. According to Ceferino Y. Catmunan, Project Manager, the generators were lifted to couple
them with already installed gas turbines.
MMG also successfully lifted boilers and later economizers at Manifa Cogeneration and Main substation Project.
The Boilers were lifted in Area Q-4006. Economizer weighing 50 tons and adapted to the Boiler to economize heat
generated by the boiler were also lifted last week. Steam turbine generator is included to manage fluctuations
in steam demand over the plant cycle and improve system efficiency. Auxiliary Steam Boilers (2) are provided
as back up for heat recovery steam generators.
Meanwhile, the groundbreaking ceremony of MMG-LURGI Project was held on September 22, 2011 at the construction
site of Yanbu Export Refinery Project. The ceremony was attended by MMG executives as well as representatives
of the clients. Sulaiman Al-Hejji, MMG Vice President, Projects, congratulated all those involved in these
projects and hoped that they will give there more than 100 percent to make the project successful and on schedule.
"Our target should be our clients' total satisfaction. We should strive to preserve
MMG's reputation and its credibility," he said.
