Fabrication
MMG, right from its inception, firmly believed in multi-dimensional growth of the Kingdom’s economy and as a result kept its avenues open for new venture and services. With the aim to participate in all aspects of the country’s economy and an eagerness to contribute to the overall growth of the nation, MMG entered into steel fabrication. The group set up two steel fabrication plants located in Dammam and Rabigh.
 Both Steel Factories has almost the same capabilities in Pipe Spool Fabrication which is about 100,000 dia-inch per month or 1,200,000 dia-inch per year. For Structural Steel Fabrication, DSF & RSF can fabricate various combinations of heavy, medium and light structural steel components from 2,000-3,000 tons per month.

Dammam Steel Factory (DSF)
The factory started in 1995 and is located on Abu Hadriyah Road in Dammam. Its fabrication facilities are spread on a 55,000 sq. m area and a Lay down area for material storage of 105,000 sq. m. In all, there are 14 covered Fabrication Bays for DFS. Six bays are used exclusively for Carbon Steel Fabrication, three bays for stainless/alloy steel, four bays for Structural Steel Fabrication and one bay is used as a Welding Training Center to train and up-grade the quality of its welders.

The facility at Dammam Steel Factory includes: Main Fabrication Shops; Carbon Steel Shops; Stainless Steel Shops; Structural Steel Shop; Welding Training Center; Main Office (two storey); X-RAY Pits/ Bunkers (2); Stress Relieving Furnace; Main Lay down/ Storage Area; and Extension Lay down Area. There are more than 1,000 personnel involved in the operation of the DSF.

Production Capacity
DSF is essentially involved in piping and structural works. In piping fabrication it produces carbon steel pipes and stainless steel pipes.

 Rabigh Steel Factory (RSF)
This facility started its operations in the middle of 2007. Total fabrication area of RSF is 165,000 sq. m. Total covered fabrication area is just as big as DSF but more consolidated into one (1) big area consisting of two(2) bays for Carbon Steel, one (1) bay for Stainless Steel and one (1) bay for structural steel. It can be accessed from the main highway going to Rabigh by taking Exit 2 en route to Aramco Refinery.
This facility includes: Main Fabrication Shops; Carbon Steel Shops; Stainless Steel Shops; Structural Steel Shop; Welding Clinic; Painting/Shipping Area; Material’s Lay down; Maintenance Shop; Warehouse Area; and Future Expansion Area. Like Dammam Steel Factory, Rabigh too has over 1000 personnel manning the plant.

Production
Rabigh Steel Plant is also involved in piping works as well as structural works and the size and quantity of production level is same as Dammam Steel Factory .Like DSF it also produces Carbon steel pipes as well as Stainless steel pipes. In addition it also undertakes structural fabrication. Its products as well as production capacity is similar to the DSF.
